Shipping from China to EU/US still congested and expensive

Market instability looms when it comes to imports from the Far East, and China in particular.

The monthly shipping update that we received from Iain Brymer, Global Commercial Director – UniOcean Lines shows that global freight is still not stabilizing due to limited container and vessel capacity, especially in the rush for CNY 2022.

He says: “Uniserve has just released the November 2021 market update, providing key insights and forecasts for global supply chains for the weeks ahead.

As we move into peak trading season, businesses are understandably looking nervously at port delays and disruptions in the Far East.

The chronic lack of ocean freight space availability and new waves of Covid-19 all hitting supply chains everywhere.

As such, it has never been more important to get a clear picture of the freight transport markets.”
